Participation in LSBD programs is voluntary and subject to availability, parents or guardians must provide consent for children under 18 to participate, LSBD reserves the right to refuse or discontinue participation if a participant’s behavior is unsafe, disruptive, or inconsistent with program objectives, all program activities are conducted under LSBD’s safeguarding and safety guidelines, and participants, parents, or guardians acknowledge inherent risks and agree to comply with safety instructions.

3. Volunteers and Staff

All volunteers and staff are required to follow LSBD’s Code of Conduct, Child Safeguarding Policy, and program guidelines, volunteers must provide accurate information during recruitment, LSBD reserves the right to terminate involvement for policy violations or unsafe conduct, and volunteers consent to background and reference checks as part of onboarding.

4. Donations and Payments

Donations to LSBD are non-refundable unless required by law, financial information is used solely for program reporting, legal compliance, or authorized processing, LSBD may issue receipts or acknowledgments in accordance with tax and regulatory rules, and donors consent to receive communications regarding programs, fundraising, and updates unless they opt out.

5. Intellectual Property

All website and program content, including text, images, logos, graphics, and downloadable materials, is owned by LSBD or its licensors, content may be viewed or downloaded only for personal, non-commercial use, reproduction, distribution, or commercial use without written permission is prohibited, media captured during programs may be used for LSBD reporting, promotion, fundraising, or awareness campaigns strictly with documented parental or guardian consent.

6. Media and Child Consent

LSBD will anonymize children’s personal information wherever feasible, media may be used across websites, social media, promotional or fundraising campaigns, consent can be withdrawn at any time, and LSBD will remove media wherever reasonably possible after withdrawal.

7. User Conduct

Users agree not to use LSBD services or website for illegal, harmful, or offensive purposes, interfere with operations or security, post or distribute content violating LSBD policies, privacy, or safeguarding standards, attempt unauthorized access to LSBD systems, or engage in harassment or exploitation of children or participants.

LSBD provides programs and services in good faith and with reasonable care, LSBD is not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from program participation, website use, or media use, participants, parents, guardians, and volunteers acknowledge and accept inherent risks, and LSBD liability is limited to the maximum extent permitted by Nigerian law.

LSBD collects and processes personal data in line with its GDPR-aligned Privacy Policy, children’s data is handled with special safeguards under the Child Safeguarding Policy, personal data is collected and processed strictly for program management, communication, and lawful purposes, and users consent to such collection by accessing LSBD services.

10. Termination

LSBD reserves the right to terminate access to programs, services, or website accounts at its discretion for violations of these Terms or applicable law, termination does not relieve obligations incurred prior to termination, and LSBD will communicate termination decisions to affected parties promptly.
